The latest updates, grouped by topic rather than one by one. If you have the program, you already have them: they arrive on their own.
Recovering deleted files
Getting back a file thrown away by mistake has become a feature of its own, with a preview before you proceed. Results come sorted by type, the search also covers USB sticks and memory cards, and the recoverable formats now extend to photos from digital cameras. Only files that will actually come back appear in the list: the ones that wouldn't are never promised.
Backup and restore points
The scheduled backup restarts on its own even when Windows missed the appointment. Restore points are created and deleted more reliably, including on computers where system protection had been left off.
Guides and the hard words
Step-by-step walkthroughs have arrived for the most common problems, from a slow PC to a printer that won't print, along with a glossary that explains technical terms in everyday words. In the settings you can enlarge the text and raise the contrast.
Updates and installation
The update shows up even with the window closed, starts on the first try and, if something goes wrong, says so instead of staying silent. Removing the program is one click from the settings, leaving nothing behind, and it works even right after an automatic update.
The numbers the program shows
Several fixes share the same thread: what appears on screen has to be what was measured. Free space is the real figure, every disk shows up with its drive letter, the Windows version is the same everywhere, and the memory of an 8 GB computer is no longer judged to be at its limit.
The look
The left-hand menu has a color of its own and the open section lights up, so you can tell where you are at a glance. The screens are sharper and also tell you what has changed in the computer, not just how it is right now.
