Cookie policy

Which cookies this site uses: few, technical, and none of them profile you.

Last updated: August 12, 2026
In short: turbofix.it uses no profiling cookies, has no analytics, advertising pixels or social buttons, and loads nothing from third-party domains. There is a single cookie, a technical one, set only by the download page to protect the form submission.

This page explains which cookies the turbofix.it website uses, what they're for and how to manage them. It's written about what the site actually does, not from a generic template.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in the user's browser and that the browser sends back to the site on later visits. Some are technical (they make the site work, for example by keeping you logged in or protecting a form), others serve to measure visits or to profile visitors in order to show them ads. Only the former can be used without consent.

2. The cookie this site uses

Just one, and it doesn't identify you:

  • Name: tfx_csrf
  • Who sets it: turbofix.it, and only the download page (scarica.php). The other pages don't set it.
  • Type: first-party technical security cookie.
  • What it's for: it contains a random code that makes it possible to verify that the download form was really submitted from this page and not from another site (anti-CSRF protection). It doesn't contain the user's email address, it contains no personal data and it doesn't identify you.
  • Duration: 12 hours.

It is set with the technical protections HttpOnly (the page's JavaScript can't read it), Secure (it travels only over an encrypted connection) and SameSite=Lax (it isn't sent with requests originating from other sites).

Being strictly necessary to provide the service the user requested, this cookie requires no consent: that's why the site shows no banner to accept. The other pages of the site, including the home page, set no cookies.

3. What this site does NOT use

  • No profiling cookies and no advertising.
  • No statistics system: no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no other visit-measuring tools.
  • No pixels or social buttons, no content embedded from other sites (no videos or maps inside the pages).
  • No fonts or scripts loaded from external domains: fonts, images, stylesheets and JavaScript all live on turbofix.it.
  • No browser local storage used to track you (localStorage and sessionStorage stay empty).

The only connections to the outside are ordinary links, which the user decides whether to open, for example the one to VirusTotal on the download page: until they're opened, the browser doesn't contact that site.

4. The Google verification is not a cookie

The home page's code contains a line called google-site-verification. Its only purpose is to prove to Google that the site is ours, so we can see how it's doing in Search Console: it's a label written into the page, not a cookie and not a script. It saves nothing in the browser and collects no data about the visit.

5. The restricted area

The site's administration panel, accessible only to the controller, uses a signed technical login cookie, needed to keep the session authenticated. It doesn't concern visitors to the site.

6. The TurboFix program uses no cookies

Cookies are a browser thing. The program installed on the computer doesn't use them: what it measures stays in a local file, as explained in the Privacy policy.

7. How to manage or delete cookies

The user can view, block or delete cookies from their browser settings (usually under Privacy and security). If the technical cookie described above is blocked, the download form may refuse the submission: that's the protection kicking in, not a fault.

8. Changes to this page

Should the site use other cookies in the future, this page will be updated beforehand. The version published here, with the last-updated date shown at the top, is the one that applies.
