Terms of use

The conditions for using the program and the website, in full and in plain English.

Last updated: August 12, 2026
In short: the Software is granted free of charge to anyone, with a Lifetime Premium license and no payment; the program is provided “as is” and, before delicate operations, creates a restore point and asks for confirmation. A backup of your own data remains the best precaution in any case.

These Terms of use (“Terms”) govern the download, installation and use of the TurboFix program (“Software”) and the turbofix.it website (“Site”) by anyone who downloads or uses them (“User”). By installing or using the Software, the User accepts these Terms. Otherwise, do not install or use the Software.

1. Subject and provider

TurboFix is a free program for Windows 10 and Windows 11, provided by Eric Gilberti (“Provider”) and downloadable from the Site. Its purpose is to speed up, clean and keep the computer healthy: it frees up space, lightens startup, tracks the state of the disks and answers questions about the PC's status. Some features change Windows settings or remove files.

2. License

The Provider grants the User a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Software on their own devices. The license is granted free of charge: the key issued is Lifetime Premium, unlocks every feature and remains valid without any payment, now or in the future. The Provider has no plans for a paid version of the Software; should one ever be offered, keys already delivered would remain valid for life regardless.

Reselling, renting, assigning or redistributing the Software, decompiling, disassembling or modifying it, or removing ownership notices is not permitted. This is without prejudice to the rights the law grants the user in any case and which cannot be excluded by contract (for example, within the limits of the law, the decompilation rights provided for in software legislation).

3. The Software is provided “as is”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular, there is no warranty that it is free of errors or interruptions, that it is fit for a particular purpose, or that it will produce any given performance result. This is without prejudice to the mandatory consumer rights provided for by applicable law.

4. What the Software does and what is up to you

Before delicate operations TurboFix creates a Windows restore point, asks for confirmation and, where technically possible, offers undo. Actions start only after the User's approval in any case, and the choice of what to clean or remove remains theirs.

  • Read what a feature does before running it: the program explains it item by item.
  • Always keep a backup of your data: it's the precaution that applies to any program, not just this one.
  • Some features require administrator privileges: grant them only if the program was downloaded from the official website, turbofix.it.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of profits or business interruption arising from the use or failure of the Software. As the product is provided free of charge, all liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or the mandatory rights the law grants consumers.

6. The assistant

The assistant uses no artificial intelligence models: it is a rules engine built into the Software, which works on the User's computer without sending questions to anyone. Its answers come from the measurements taken on that PC, but their absolute accuracy is not guaranteed: they are indications, not an expert technical assessment. Actions proposed by the assistant require the User's confirmation and can be undone where the app says so.

7. Updates and changes

The Software may check for updates and offer to install them. Features may change, be added or be removed over time: what changes with each version is written on the What's new page.

8. Intellectual property

TurboFix, its name and its trademark belong to the Provider; all rights reserved. The Software includes third-party components, each under its own license, listed inside the app. TurboFix is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Microsoft; “Windows” is a trademark of its respective owners, mentioned for descriptive purposes only.

9. Acceptable use

Using the Software for unlawful purposes, to harm third parties or to circumvent its protections is prohibited. In case of abuse the license may be revoked.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the court of the place where you reside or are domiciled, pursuant to the Italian Consumer Code.
