Your key arrives by email
The activation key goes to the address you enter. That's the only way we deliver it, it never appears on screen: use a real address, and check your spam folder too.
Activate it within seven days. After that the key is cancelled: just request another one from here. Once activated it never expires, and from then on the program works without an internet connection.
The licenseWindows will show a warning
The first time you run it, Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”. That's not a verdict on the program: it's missing the paid code-signing certificate, which costs a few hundred euros a year and which a project without a registered business can't buy.
Click More info → Run anyway to continue. The warning is about the signature, not the file's contents: the checksum shown here lets you confirm the file you downloaded is the right one.
Why this happensScanned on VirusTotal
The TurboFix package is submitted to VirusTotal, which runs it through around seventy antivirus engines. If one of them flags it, it's a false positive (an automated suspicion, not a virus found), the kind that installers often get simply because they lack a paid code-signing certificate.
The installer unpacks itself and, if needed, installs the .NET 8 Desktop runtime: that behavior is what some antivirus engines, or the Windows warning described here, can flag by mistake. Anyone who wants to can check the file on VirusTotal before installing.
